Weekly Learning
Reading: R controlled vowels will be reviewed this week. A challenging part of this rule is to remember to put the letter r after the vowel. Another item we will focus on is when to use the letter c or letters ck at the end of words. Two short stories will be our reading material for the week with an emphasis on reading for details and following directions to find specific information from a text.
Writing: Our writing composition books are starting to fill up! We are very excited to see the progression from the first weeks of school to now in regards to our writing abilities. The difference is amazing?
Math: Topic 15 is all about Geometry and shapes. We will learn names of shapes, organize them, and sort them according to various attributes. Next, using shapes to construct new shapes and building our math vocabulary will be emphasized.
Social Studies and Science: Living things will be everywhere. We are now embracing insects and eggs. Social Studies learning To Be Announced.
