Weekly Learning
Reading: FUNdations will support our learning to sound out or tap out consonant, vowel, consonant (cvc) words with short vowel sounds. This will help us be able to read more words in texts. Apple season and fall are arriving as we will read a variety of books on apples, apple picking, and Johnny Appleseed. Sounding our unknown words and understanding what we read will be an emphasized this week.
Writing: Responding to the stories we read, we will work on creating basic sentences that relate to the texts discussed during class.
Math: Topic 1 continues with showing way to make 8 and 9. Solving number stories or word problems will be covered this week as well. Please check out the Xtramath or Sumdog website to practice some math skills.
Social Studies and Science: Living things will kick off this week and Mrs. Bomback will review rules and laws.
