Weekly Learning:
Reading: We will read two stories (hopefully) about ants and animals. First, Animals Feel Emotions is a non-fiction text that will present new knowledge about how animals feel and live. The second story, Two Bad Ants will offer students an opportunity to understand perspective or point of view.
Spelling: Please check the spelling tab.
Writing: We will wrapping up previous writings, so be on the look out for some to come home this week. We will also be taking a writing diagnostic this week that requires students to write an opinion piece based on a prompt.
Math: Topic 14 is underway about area. We will continue to review perimeter as we explore the area of shapes.
Science: Ms. Hamker and the kids are learning how soil and dirt are different.
