Week of April 28th

Weekly Learning:

This week will be a little different than normal due to the Ohio Achievement Assessment for 4th grade and 3rd grade.  We will move some specials and lunch times around to accommodate the testing times.  We will take the reading test on Wednesday and the math test on Friday.  Please be certain your that son or daughter get a good night of rest, healthy breakfast, and he or she has a snack on the day of the test.  We are going to ROCK THESE ASSESSMENTS!


Reading: We will read a non-fiction text about a boy named Kevin, who is learning to cope with the challenges of Autism through equine therapy.  This article will guide students to discovering my information about Autism and gaining empathy towards others.  Kevin and Daisy (830 lexile level) will be insightful about overcoming obstacles in life. 
Spelling: Please check the spelling tab.
Writing: We will wrapping up previous writings, so be on the look out for some to come home this week.
Math: Topic 13 is ending this week.  We have measured and calculated perimeter using a variety of methods.  We will have a test on Thursday and an online review will be posted Wednesday.

Science: Ms. Hamker and the kids are fully involved with rocks and soil for Earth Science.

I think the Bubble Lady was the best assembly of the year.
I loved seeing the giant bubble again and again and again.It was really cool seeing JJ in one of the giant bubbles. JJ was probably thinking about his task of blowing a bubble in the bubble. If I could hop in a bubble and fly away I would fly to Paris or CandyLand.That would be the best day of my life. Maybe next time I see her I will ask her to put me in a big bubble and fly away.
