Weekly Learning:
Reading: We will read Tonight is Carnaval (630 lexile level).
Spelling: No spelling this week.
Writing: We will write an opinion paragraph/story this week. After learning about two different types of creative festivals, we will select one to visit. We will share our opinions and use details and factual details from our readings to support our ideas.
Math: Topic 12 just kicked off and is all about time. We will tell and recognize time the hour, half hour, quarter hour, five minute interval, and to the minute. We will also work with elapsed time.
Science: Ms. Hamker started the new science topics with rocks and soil for Earth Science.

Mr.Moore I think we should have even less spelling tests because we do plenty of work already.
