Weekly Learning:
Reading: We will reread an excerpt from Little House on the Prairie. After one final reading, we will take an assessment to demonstrate our understanding. We will take the last reading MAPS test on Wednesday afternoon.
Spelling: Please check the spelling tab.
Writing: Most Power Points are getting wrapped up and the finished touches are being added. We are also wrapping up the opinion piece to accompany this project. If time allows, we will be given a choice of prompts, select one, and write a detailed response.
Math: Topic 11 is underway about geometry. We will focus on learning a wide range of new vocabulary: ray, vertex, line, line segment, endpoint, angle, right angle, acute, angle, obtuse angle, and many more. We have been practicing our math skills through extra worksheets, playing games with partners and online, and incorporating Khan Academy more into our daily routine. We will take the final math MAPS test on Tuesday afternoon.
Social Studies: Students will visit Mr. Provenza's room to learn about the economy and our government structure.
