Weekly Learning:
Reading: We will finish our non-fiction text about Thomas Edison. We will demonstrate our ability to understand and use the text as a resource for answering questions as well. Using non-fiction resources to find information will continue as we research our bug topics.
Spelling: No quiz this week.
Writing: We are fully engaged in researching our bug. We will spend writing time recording information and creating a Power Point show. An opinion writing will accompany this project as well. If time allows, we will try to do some creative writing with many different prompts.
Math: Topic 10 will start this week and the focus will be fractions. Comparing various fractions and creating and identifying equivalent fractions will be our area of emphasis.
Social Studies: We will try to wrap up our practice with maps this week and students will visit Mr. Provenza's room for more Social Studies learning too.
