Weekly Learning:
Reading: We will read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, by Roald Dahl (lexile 810). We will focus on reading for understanding with an emphasis on accuracy and fluency. We will discuss character traits or attributes, how those qualities affect a story, and summarizing chapters.
Spelling: Please check the spelling tab for words.
Writing: Finishing our creative writings from last week about an imaginative trip to China.
Math: Topic 8 is focusing on division and explaining how division is the inverse operation of multiplication. We will use a variety of strategies to solve division problems including number sentences/models.
Social Studies: Started with the big picture of the world and moving to the Midwest region and state perspective. Then we will discuss our county and city. We will use various maps for this learning.
