Weekly Learning:
Reading: We will read Too Many Tamales (Lexile Level 670). This story will highlight how a girl makes a choice that has consequences. She will learn a valuable lesson and get help from family members to find a lost ring. We will emphasize asking and answering questions, locating the main idea and finding evidence to support that idea, and connect to the story by examining the author's purpose.
Spelling: Please check the spelling tab.
Writing: We will be writing a narrative based on a personal experience of making a choice that had consequences. This will relate to our story of Too Many Tamales as the main character lost something special and had to face the outcome of her actions.
Math: Topic 6 is wrapping up on Tuesday with a test. An online practice test is available for review. Topic 7 will introduce division and explain how division is the inverse operation of multiplication.
Science: Ms. Hamker is wrapping up matter this week with our kids.
