Weekly Learning:
Reading: We will read If Your Name Was Changed at Ellis Island (Lexile Level 880). As we read this text, we will focus on identifying the main idea and supporting details of chapters. We will create an accordion book to keep our information in one place.
Spelling: No spelling this week.
Writing: We will be writing poems, lists, and detailed sentences this week.
Math: We are jumping into Topic 6 of the Envisions program. Topic 6 will focus on multiplication and we will continue learning facts patterns and tricks. The Distributive Property will be discussed and practiced.
Science: Ms. Hamker is exploring matter with our class.
